T.O.P. Fee Structure

Three guiding principles have motivated the review of the way we charge for certification:-

  • to eliminate the dual billing arrangement of membership fees & inspection fees (there will now only be one bill for inspection);
  • to reduce the necessary burden of certification cost for ‘smaller’ producers;
  • to ensure any minor increase in costs is mainly borne by operators with value adding capacity inherent in ‘Manufacturing Certification’.

As from 1/7/2011 fees will be:-

New member joining fee (once only)                                         $150

Manufacturing Only Inspection (under $25k Organic Gross)       $650
Manufacturing Only Inspection (over $25k Organic Gross)         $950
Manufacturing Only Inspection (over $75k Organic Gross)         $1250
Manufacturing Only Inspection (over $100k Organic Gross)       $2450
Manufacturing Only Inspection (over $150k Organic Gross)       $3050

Farm & Manufacturing Inspection (under $25k Organic Gross)     $950
Farm & Manufacturing Inspection (over $25k Organic Gross)     $1250
Farm & Manufacturing Inspection (over $75k Organic Gross)     $2550
Farm & Manufacturing Inspection (over $100k Organic Gross)   $3050
Farm & Manufacturing Inspection (over $150k Organic Gross)   $3450

GST to be added to above fees

Fees entitle you to an inspection of up to 2 hrs (2.5 for Farm & Manufacturing) at any site within mainland Tasmania. Inspections beyond 2 hrs will attract additional fees of $100/hr. Initial soil or produce analysis tests are additional to the Inspection Fee.
