Organic farming standards have been developed by T.O.P. by adherence to the Australian Government's recommendations through the Organic Industry Export Consultative Committee (O.I.E.C.C.) which maintains organic standards to international levels. This, along with T.O.P.'s own stringent standard and accreditation as an approved exporter of organic produce, further ensures the highest possible standard.
Each farm undergoes inspections annually and is closely monitored to ensure adherence to the strict T.O.P. guidelines and controls, maintaining the integrity of organic produce.
In some cases, yes, but the price of conventionally grown food does not represent the true cost which is hidden, i.e. the increase in health care, environmental clean-up, excessive carbon emissions and the permanent loss of our precious top soil. The complete management system of organic farming requires more skill and knowledge than simply spraying a field with poisons.
In buying organic food you pay for quality, flavour and nutrition, not chemical residues and you invest in a habitable planet for future generations.
